Thank you for visiting the Mission Foundation website. I am sure you will find it full of uplifting, interesting and useful information about our work in Western North Carolina. I am honored to continue my position as Board Chairman as we begin a new fiscal year for 2012. We completed a very successful 25th anniversary in 2010 with a record year of contributions and crossing over the $100 million mark in total funds we've raised for Mission since our founding. We as a board and staff are ready to "climb new mountains" to continue Mission Health System's quest for providing you high quality care at low costs. That is a national reputation Mission has achieved because of philanthropic gifts and grants that have been given to the Foundation over the years.
Our Trustees pride themselves on being good stewards of every gift we receive. That is why we sought and gained national-level accreditation from the Wise Giving Alliance of the National Better Business Bureau. We meet all 20 of their strict national standards. If you decide to become a member of the Foundation's "donor family" you will be treated with great respect, involved in Mission activities at whatever level makes you comfortable and increase your knowledge about the incredible health facilities, medical staff and hospital staff you have access to at Mission and our affiliates.
