Breast Cancer Endowement at Mission Healthcare Foundation
The Mission Breast Program Endowment, started by breast cancer survivor Kay Finger and her husband Tom, is a permanent fund established to provide ongoing support for Mission's Breast Program.

Current Breast Cancer Center services include:

Nurse navigators to assist women throughout the entire process - diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Words cannot describe the impact nurse navigators have in this process. (The Wall Street Journal recently ran an article about nurse navigators, something Mission has had in place for several years.)

Weekly multidisciplinary clinics where the medical team reviews individual cases and determines best treatment plans.

Nutrition counseling.

Comprehensive educational materials to help each woman become more informed about her care.

Ladies Night Out - hosted the first Thursday evening of each month providing free mammograms and screenings for uninsured and under-insured women.
Since Ladies Night Out has been in effect at Mission, the lives of 30 women have been saved through early detection of their breast cancer, while a cure is still possible. Countless others have benefited from the peace of mind knowing that they have had their annual mammogram and are monitoring their health responsibly.
