Academics & Innovation
Access, innovation, and advocacy are the driving themes as Mission Health trains new physicians and develop our medical faculty to improve the quality of care in smaller communities in western North Carolina.
We do not believe that any patient should receive subpar treatment and support because of where they are located, which is why we are bringing young medical professionals to rural areas. We partner with the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) to run residencies, fellowships, and student pipeline programs that keep physicians at the front of medicine, no matter where their practice is located.
With more brilliant medical professionals in our area, we will be able to come up with new treatments and technologies, care for more patients, and create a healthier, happier community.
